It measures 12 1/2 x 5 inches, with a great 2 3/4 inhc diameter porcelain dial having arabic numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial. The coil spring between the 6 beautiful brass columns stretches with a fusee spring when the clock is wound, and releaess as the clock is running down over the period of one week. It is like a coil in the box springs on traditional beds. Not having a mainspring like other clocks, it still funcitons as other clocks andit is a great conversation piece, keeping excellent time. The clock is completely 24k gold plated, and with the cost of gold today, it is not cheap. The complete movement is skeletonized from the front ot the sides and back, visible to all. The clock rests on a marble base with three matching gold plated feet, and it is protected by a cylinder shape glass dome. tI even comes with a matching 24k key.
