Ma circa 1961(#642,558 on the case and movement) yellow brass cased ship's bell clock with silvered brass 4 inch 12 hour dial, original black spade hands, and ethced black arabic numerals. The 4l movement is rear fastened in an elegant yellow forged brass case wtih a swing-open bezel. On the dial below the center arbor, in two lines of black etched upper case letters are the words chelsea ship's bell. Above the center arbor, also in uppercase black letters are the words u. S. Navy. It has a jeweled chelsea 8 day 4l time and strike movement, and a fast/slow regulator to the left of the center arbor.Has an off/on switch ot silence the ships bells when desired! Keeps acucrate time and strikes the ship's bells in precise and absolute proper sequence. Shipped from chelsea clock co. In june 1961. Comes with a genuine trademarked chelsea winding key.
