French industrial style animated locomotive train clock proclokcs is proud to introduce one of the most interesting and complicated clocks in our history of clockmaking. We have reproduced teh french industrial automated locomotive clock. It measures 19 inches long and 17 3/4 inches high. The base for the colck is made of black alabaster, and the track and clock are almost entirely made of solid brass. The weigth of this piece is approximately 40 pounds. The clock movement is an eight day hour nad half hour striking movement. Interestingly enough, when it strikes, it actually strikes on the external locomotive bell, once fro each hour it is striking. The greatest and most impressive aspect of this clock is, that it has a complete additional extensive set of gears incorporated for the wheels to activate and turn while the clock is striking. If you look at the very intricate gearnig underneath the clock, you will see how complicated this clock really is, to enable it to have all three wheels in the front, and the three wheels on the back of the clock, to turn while the clock is striking the hours. The wheels then stop after the clock stops striking on hte hour. The winding mechanism for the automation is in the front of the back side of the clock, and it does og for a week. It has a thick bevelled glass over its porcelain clock dial, and it also has a porcelain aneroid barometer, and a thermometer.

What is os amazing, is that there is very little difference between the original piece and our proclocks limited production locomotive clock. Don't be fooled by others who may have a similar clock with teh wheels that turn. There is no relationship between their clock and the wheels, since they are independent of each other, and they do not turn when the clock is striking, instead, you must turn the animation on by hand, and then turn it off by hand. The wheels on our model are connected to the striking of the clock, olny turning at that time. The wheels on our proclocks model turn slowly when the clokc is striking.Another model has hte wheels that turn when a lever is switched on and they continue to turn until it runs down or it is manually switched off.
